As mentioned earlier, this character is a Bruiser, so you will need to be close to your enemies to be most effective. At the start of the game, unlock your Flask ability first and use it to clear enemy waves. The Warden's gun has quite a range, so this Deadlock Warden Build Guide recommends that you use it to poke the enemy whenever possible.

Regardless of whether you win or lose, once the laning phase is done, you need to start participating in team fights as soon as possible. The real Warden experience begins when the Team Fights take place. Go straight into a team fight and use your Hook ability to break the enemy positions. Use Flask to disrupt the enemy further.

If an enemy is unlucky enough to be caught in your trap, initiate your Ultimate to quickly kill them and disrupt all the other enemies nearby. Keep in mind that it takes time to charge your Ultimate once it is initiated. So, in other situations, be sure to initiate your Ultimate once you are in a safe zone away from direct fire.

Your second ability gives you a good speed buff. Use it only when you need to get out of a sticky situation or when you are surrounded by the enemy team. The best ability combo for Warden is to use your hook to stick an enemy, before using your Ult to kill them, and finally using the second ability to get away while throwing your flask to disrupt enemy pursuers.
