The FPS community is buzzing after a leak surrounding the release of Delta Force on consoles was shared. According to a post on X by @MrProWestie, a well-known content creator, developer TiMi Game Studio plans to release a console version of the game in the first quarter of 2025. The post also included some notable information about various other content and updates the developers have planned for the game.

In this article, we take a closer look at everything there is to know about the release of Delta Force on consoles.

Delta Force console release date

According to the post by Westie, the developers are planning a Delta Force console release in the first quarter of 2025. This comes as a major update, considering the PC Alpha test was a success, being wishlisted by over a million users on Steam. Thus, the developers are now advancing towards the console playerbase.

Delta Force Extraction Night mode

The post also mentioned a new night mode called Delta Force extraction. The Tactical Turmoil mode might introduce new night modes where players will carry out missions in a dark setting. It is planned for release in the first half of 2025 as part of a single season in the game.

The Tactical Turmoil night mode should be a fresh experience, as the game was played during the daytime across all extraction maps in the Alpha test. The night vision goggles and night operations will be the key highlight of this mode.

Delta Force anti-cheat update

The Delta Force anti-cheat encountered tough competition from cheaters during the playtest. The developers at TiMi Game Studio are monitoring the exploits used by cheaters and preparing countermeasures that will be visible during the early access launch.

Delta Force controller support

The developers are planning to add controller support in Delta Force. This comes as good news for controller players, as the game was limited to mouse and keyboard functionality at the time of Alpha.

The post indicated that controller support will be introduced concurrently with the console. This also opens up the possibility of aim-assist in Delta Force, as the feature is present in most FPS games within the same genre.

Delta Force kill cam update

Kill-cam is a key feature that was missing during the Alpha phase of Delta Force. This feature is currently in development and will be added soon. The game included a death inspect feature in the Alpha that revealed the position of the player after they get eliminated but didn't feature a proper kill cam.

The upcoming Delta Force kill cam update will provide players with significantly more information about the enemy when the former is eliminated from the game. This will help them prepare countermeasures for their next counter.

New maps are coming to Delta Force

Delta Force is set to receive new maps during its early access period, building upon the visually striking selection that was available during the Alpha test phase. For Havoc Warfare, players can look forward to the addition of two new maps, which are expected to bring fresh challenges and the inclusion of diverse POIs like the current maps.

Furthermore, the game will also introduce a new Hazard Ops extraction map. These additions are intended to enhance one's gaming experience, providing players with a more diverse and immersive environment.

Delta Force solo queue

Ever since the alpha launch, fans have requested solo queue options in Delta Force. The game's queue system has been criticized because players cannot tweak the queuing options in the Havoc Warfare mode and can only enter the match with a pre-made lobby.

The post mentioned that the advanced solo queuing options will be added to Delta Force in the fourth quarter of 2025 during the early access period.

That sums up all the major updates regarding the Delta Force console release.
