Hazard Zone is an extraction shooter type mode that draws inspiration from other popular games like Escape From Tarkov and DMZ (Call of Duty).
While there are in-game currencies to buy and sell items, the fear of all this content hiding behind a paywall is not far-fetched. Furthermore, there are also options to purchase in-game currency, which might become a nuisance at a later point.
To address this concern, a Redditor named Chase10784 asked:
"Will you have us paying for in-game currency? ABI said no pay to win yet you can pay to get in game currency, which is pay to win and ruins the integrity of the mode."
In response, a dev from Team Jade replied:
"I can promise that this will absolutely not happen – this is a clear standard that we wanted to set for our game. As a dedicated FPS gamer myself, I made sure our team placed great importance on the global player experience and community."

Furthermore, the dev has also revealed that the microtransaction in the game will only feature weapon skins, cosmetics, and battle passes, and will not give players an unfair advantage over others.
The dev also replied that the large-scale multiplayer mode Havoc Warfare will not have any kind of pay-to-win content. However, the situation is a little different for the extraction mode, which is the primary concern. The dev states:
"We also promise that Tekniq Alloy and equipment in Hazard Ops will never be sold – they must be earned through gameplay, participating in events, or trading with other platers in the auction house. We will not sell these items directly, unlike other games. The highest level of safeboxes (3x3) will also be available for free, by completing missions in our Hazard Ops mode."
The extraction mode will also feature various community events where a large number of safes willl be given away. There will also be exquisite rewards in the battle pass.
