Destiny announces In-Game Events taking place this month

Developer Bungie, has announced several upcoming in-game events planned for September and October for their latest first person shooter, Destiny which has just recently released this week. To keep fans hooked on to the game and to reward their endeavours, they are giving away valuable in-game items to the winners of the various events. So far they have given the dates and details of two of the events, while the rest will probably be revealed in the coming days.

• The first event is called Salvage, and it will be running from September 12-14. This event will be played in small to medium sized maps in a 3v3 setting, with guardians fighting "to claim and salvage relics" while disrupting enemy probes. Rewards for this event include Crucible gear, marks, and reputation.
• The second event, named Vault of Glass will start from September 16 and is a level 26 raid. "No one knows what lies within the Vault of Glass, only that beyond its gates you will face your greatest challenge yet."- is how the event has been described of the event and as you can see, the explanation is pretty vague. Raid set gear and Ascendant materials will be given as rewards.

Whatever details Bungie has given for the remaining events are even more unclear. The events have just been named and given a tagline.

• Combined Arms, scheduled for September has the tagline- "Pilot the machines of war"
• Queen's Wrath is also scheduled for September and the tagline given is- "Accept her orders. Settle old scores."
• The last event that was revealed, called Iron Banner, will take place in October and has the tagline "Champions are born in battle."

Destiny was released this week and hit over $500 million in revenue in the first day itself. And those number will surely keep rising if continue to host such events.
