Destiny's ‘The Dark Below’ DLC will let Guardians reach level 30 for Crota’s end raid

Destiny’s upcoming Crota’s end raid starts at level 30

The much-anticipated "The Dark Below" expansion for "Destiny" is scheduled for release on Dec.9. While gamers await the DLC's launch, lead designer for the game Luke Smith recently revealed that the new raid Crota's End, which will be available with the content, will start with a level 30 difficulty level.

The news is that the the level 30 (activity power 120) is only for the level of difficulty for "Crota's End." Players don't actually have to be at level 30 to enter the raid. The next expected difficulty level is believed to be 33 (activity power 156), if based on the game's database. "Since we'll only be able to reach level 32, you'll definitely want to acquire the new Legendary armor and weapons in the normal version to make it a easier for you,"

Inquisitr writer Jonathan R. Clauson said: "In order to reach Level 30, you must have at least three pieces of armour dropped from the Vault of Glass and one exotic armour piece which have enough 'light' to reach level 30,"

Additionally, Clauson claims the Iron Banner event and the Vault of Glass weekly raid allows players to reach the level 30 mark in "Destiny." However, the latter is supposedly suited for those players not so adept with multiplayer combat, while the Iron Banner generously offers Level 30 gears to gamers. However, Luke Smith assures through his tweet that "The Dark Below" DLC will also offer other means to reach Light 30 and eventually Crota's End without going into the Vault of Glass.
