Does Apex Legends have Cross-play?

It has been five years since Respawn Entertainment launched Apex Legends and released a total of 21 Seasons. Moreover, the title was released on various platforms such as PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Since many players sometimes play on dissimilar platforms, the developers have added the Cross-platform sync so the gamers can merge all of their platforms into a single account.

Is there Cross-play available in Apex Legends?

As mentioned, yes, there is Cross-play in Apex Legends and players can join gamers from other platforms. Following the game’s launch, the developers added the cross-play function in 2020, since the title had become one of the most popular battle royale games. Though there is cross-play, it has several twists to it.

Firstly, players from other platforms can't queue in the same lobby. In essence, PC players cannot queue in the same lobby as the console players and vice versa. In order to get into or queue into the PC lobbies, console players have to be in a squad with PC players, or else they cannot just queue into it. Since the PC and Console lobbies are separated their playstyle also varies.

Cross-play can help gamers keep playing the title when the player count plummets. This avoids unnecessarily long queue times. Additionally, it allows players to squad up with their friends who are on a dissimilar platform so they don’t feel left out from the action this battle royale title can offer.

Keep in mind that PC players cannot toggle the Cross-play feature while console players can.

How to send Cross-play friend requests in Apex Legends

Adding cross-play friends in this battle royale is fairly simple and is quite similar to adding friends through the in-game Friends tab. Follow these steps:

• Launch Apex Legends on your PC and console device.
• When you are at the main menu, click on Friends on the bottom right part of the screen.
• Select the Find Friends button and type in your friend’s name.
• Find the right Profile and send a friend request to finish the procedure.
