Ready or Not was released on December 13, 2023. It's a popular FPS game where players are put in the shoes of David ‘Judge’ Beaumont, the commander of a SWAT team that encounters challenging situations. The game has multiple modes for players to enjoy. However, one key element is missing after the full release last year.
Unfortunately, Ready or Not does not have a PvP multiplayer mode currently, even though it existed during the Alpha stage of the game's development. This article explains why the title doesn't have the aforementioned mode.

Ready or Not has a dedicated single-player mode where you are pitted against AI instead of other players. Unfortunately, players do not have the option to battle one another.
A PvP mode was tested during the Alpha stage, however, many issues were reported by the players. It reportedly felt unbalanced and the gameplay mechanics just weren't connected well enough for the mode to work. As a result, it seems that the devs have removed the mode altogether.
Even after the full release of the title, there is no word regarding a PvP mode, so there's no telling what fans can expect from VOID Interactive in the matter. However, the co-op and single-player modes are a big hit among the community. Reviews on Steam have been Very Positive and more than a hundred thousand people have reviewed the game.
The current state of Ready or Not
Of course, the arrival of a PvP mode will only further help boost the game's popularity, especially after the release of the recent DLC, Home Invasion. Released on July 23/24, 2024, the DLC takes players through three intense home invasion missions with new weapons and cosmetics.
However, the game soon ran into trouble as players began reporting errors and bugs within the new DLC. Home Invasion is Ready or Not's first DLC and players encountering errors can be considered extremely common. On July 27, 2024, VOID Interactive took to its official X page to address the issues.
The developer promised that their team would actively look into as many issues as possible with the release of their brand-new and first-ever DLC. Two patches were promised, with Patch 1 primarily addressing the issues with performance. Issues with texture, resolution scaling, and some in-game mechanics are also included. This patch has already been released.
Patch 2 will address the limited availability of DLC 1 maps. These are the only announced changes. Even then, a PvP mode has yet to find the light of day.
