At the time of writing, Ubisoft’s in-house Arena Shooter XDefiant doesn’t contain any private matches. Several leaks surfacing online suggest that the developers plan to add it during Year 1. However, the officials have yet to announce anything about its implementation.
Players sometimes grow weary of playing high-octane matches online. Hence, they often seek a more casual environment to play with their friends or people they’re familiar with. That’s when Private matches come to the rescue. These lobbies are one of the few stapled things everyone usually seeks. However, Ubisoft developers have yet to inject private matches in-game.
Keeping that in mind this article will focus on XDefiant private match's future implementations and what other alternatives they can try in the meantime

Does XDefiant have private matches?
As mentioned, XDefiant doesn’t have any private matches feature yet. According to a popular XDef data leaker @XDefiantAlerts, the developers plan to add this attribute to the arena shooter in the future.
Meanwhile, players can access a few standard online game modes like domination, escort, and hot shot, though these are exclusively for online matchmaking. As soon as Ubisoft reveals anything regarding adding private matches in-game, this article will be updated accordingly.
In the meantime, those looking to nurture their skills through practice in any offline mode can head to the Practice Zone; the developers have introduced three zones for players to cherish.
The first section includes an Assault course. Players can hone their rifle skills and movement by completing a small challenge.
The second section includes the Abilities and Ultra section, helping players get a grasp of each faction’s abilities and their ultimates. This section is beneficial for newcomers before entering into the online servers.

Lastly, the Firing range is ideal for all players regardless of experience. Here, they are free to try any weapon or utility.
Despite having a practice range, it doesn’t satisfy the requirement of a private match feature. As discussed, adding private matches in XDefiant will surely have its advantages. Players can improve their aiming skills and movement among themselves in a more casual environment. Moreover, they can host small tournaments to add an extra layer of fun among themselves.
