The 7.37c meta heroes nicked the spotlight in Dota 2 TI13 due to their efficient impact throughout the tournament. We also saw them banned most of the time or picked within the first two slots. These heroes, whether carries or supports, are currently the best in the game and can help boost your MMR significantly. The tremendous damage inflicted within a short time, along with notable saves to turn team fights, were the major factors behind their constant drafting in TI13.

We've curated a list of the 5 most drafted heroes in Dota 2 TI 2024, suitable for ranked games of all brackets.

5 most picked Dota 2 heroes in TI13

1) Mirana

Mirana emerged as the go-to safelaner in the new meta, following her small buffs and nerfs in the consecutive Dota 2 7.37 and 7.37b updates. Leap and Solar Flare, one of her Facets, grew infamous as a deadly combo that can melt down any enemy hero. Attack speed and damage items further transformed this once-soft support hero into a dangerous right-clicker.

In TI13, players exploited her Sacred Arrow and Leap to finish off enemy heroes with right clicks. Support heroes who can set up Mirana's arrow kills further cemented her efficiency in TI13. This hero was picked 46 times for the duration of the main tournament (excluding regional qualifiers) and had a 60.87% win rate.

2) Windranger

Windranger was the second most drafted hero in TI 2024 as he was picked a total of 44 times. This hero was usually drafted on the main stage, was banned twice in the Grand Final, and picked once by the losing side GG in the third game. Windranger's Whirlwind facet turns Focus Fire into an AOE ability with attacks per second and grants a bonus attack range for 9 seconds.

This along with the hero's Aghanim's Scepter upgrade solidified her position as a top-tier carry. On top of it, BKB and Glepinir were often seen on most Windrangers in Dota 2 TI13. This hero is ideal for pumping high amounts of damage with certain items and BKB in the current meta.

Tusk has consistently been a showcased hero in several iterations of The International. Like previous times, his Snowball saves and unexpected Walrus Punches were the major highlights of this year's TI. Notably, Boxi, soft support of Team Liquid, put on a legendary performance with Tusk in the first two Grand Final games. As a result, GG was forced to ban Tusk in the third game.

His Facets are strong and can be picked depending on the enemy team's lineup. Items like Solar Crest, Blink Dagger, Force Staff, and so on unlock the hero's full potential as an all-star support. Dota 2 TI13 participants also purchased Bracers on Tusk to make him tanky.

4) Dragon Knight

Dragon Knight another strong right-clicker was drafted for a total of 40 times. This hero has a 42.50% win rate, the lowest among the top 5 due to mixed results. Take the Grand Final game 2 for example, where GG's dyrachyo picked Dragon Knight but failed to counter Liquid's Bristleback right from the laning stage. When this hero is drafted as a safelaner all one needs is time to farm.

With enough farm, enemy heroes, especially the supports can be picked off without much trouble. DK can also be played in all three core roles, further opening up a variety of builds. In Dota 2 TI 2024, players usually rushed Blink Dagger for initiation, Armlet for attack speed, and Aghanim's Scepter for more damage and unobstructed pathing.

5) Kunkka

Kunkka grew in prominence due to his Innate Ability, Admiral's Rum, and powerful disable spells. This hero has 39 appearances in Dota 2 TI13 with a 53.85% win rate. He was mostly played as an offlaner due to Admiral's Rum damage reduction and AOE stuns. Meanwhile, Grog Blossom overshadowed his other Facet High Tide in Dota 2 TI13 as the Rum buff on allies provided survivability in prolonged teamfights.

However, there are several ways to counter Kunkka, as enemy carries can overwhelm this hero with BKBs. Furthermore, if you plan on playing Kunkka in ranked pubs keep an eye on the cooldowns and purchase Aghanim's Scepter to do more damage.
