The Act III comic begins with Shen's visit to Frostreach, a small village in the middle of a frozen wasteland. The Vengeful Spirit and her companions visit a tavern and stumble upon Tusk. Both the heroes have a drink and discuss Kestrel's whereabouts.

Tusk reveals that Kestrel has gone to protect villagers from a dragon attack. Interested in catching up with the latter, Shen asks for Tusk's help to find Kestrel. Both the heroes decide to venture out in the morning. However, the comic ends when the outpost guard sees Winter Wyvern appear in the dead of night.
