Dragon Age: Inquisition to be 900p on Xbox One 1080p on PS4

The official Dragon Age Twitter account has confirmed that Dragon Age: Inquisition will follow the recent trends and be a lower resolution on Xbox One than the PS4. The game is set to be released for PS4 in 1080p while for Xbox One it comes down to 900p. Initially, both systems were supposed to run the game in 900p. But the recent announcement stating that the PS4 will have a 1080p release has raised some eyebrows.

The exact reasons for the difference between PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dragon Age: Inquisition were not specified in the announcement. However, it was implied that the Xbox One was simply less powerful as the message says that they “maximized the current potential of each platform” to achieve this result. There has been questioning over the Xbox One capabilities for quite some time now. There isn’t much to be concerned about, though with both platforms expected to run the game smoothly with minor differences... mostly unnoticable.

As per the developers, the game is set to be more challenging and unpredictable than any of the previous Dargon Age games which anyway reduces the disappointment due to resolution for Xbox One users.

Dragon Age: Inquisition releases on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on November 18th.
