For controller users
1) Try enabling and disabling Steam Input
Follow these steps to do so:
- Launch the Steam application on your PC.
- Click on Steam on the top left of the app’s UI.
- Under Steam, head to the Controller settings.
- Scroll down and locate the Steam Input option.
- Disable Steam Input by unchecking the box in front of the option.
If this was already disabled, try enabling it once and check if your controller is working properly now or not. Also, make sure that the right controller preset is selected.
2) Check for driver updates
Ensure that your controller drivers are up to date. If you are using an Xbox controller, it can be updated via the Xbox Accessories app. Meanwhile, DualSense controllers can be updated via the PlayStation DualSense Firmware Updater app.
3) Try connecting via USB cable
If the above-mentioned points couldn't help, you can connect your controller via the USB cable to play the game. However, you will still need to follow the first step (Enabling/Disabling Steam Input)
Keyboard and mouse users
If you are using a keyboard and mouse setup to play Dragon Age The Veilguard, there is only one fix. Try disconnecting any of the peripherals that are not in use and check if your keyboard and mouse are working properly. However, do make sure to restart both your PC as well as Steam before as this might as well solve the problem.
Note: The fixes mentioned above are workarounds and are not guaranteed to work in every case.
