As with many modern titles, Dragon Age The Veilguard also features a series of cosmetics for players to don as they embark on a journey to stop a threatening evil. While the traditional suite of gear and equipment is accounted for in a massive RPG as this, players can change the appearance of these items via the in-game transmog system.
This way players can equip the best gear without worrying about its style since they can borrow the visual appearance of a better-looking gear piece. Here is everything one should know about using transmog and cosmetics in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

Players will be introduced to the cosmetics and transmog system fairly early on in the game. During the prologue, the protagonist, Rook, and their team will be transported to an alternate realm called the Fade. Here, they will encounter a safe haven called the Lighthouse. After waking up within its walls, Rook will be able to explore the room that they are in.
Apart from conversing with fellow allies, Rook can find a chest next to the bed where Varric is asleep. This is the Wardrobe, which allows the player to access all the cosmetics they have gathered throughout their journey. Cosmetics pertain to different gear, such as armor, headwear, and more.
Here are all the options that players can customize in the Wardrobe:
- Main-Hand Weapon
- Off-Hand
- Two-Handed Weapon
- Helm
- Armor
- Casual Wear

As players obtain or unlock new cosmetic appearances, they can open the Wardrobe to tweak these aspects of their gear and apply any skins that they like. This will override the default look of a gear. Furthermore, all pre-orders as well as Deluxe Edition cosmetics that the player owns can also be found here.
The number on the left side of the screen while in the Wardrobe also displays the number of owned cosmetics as well as the total number available in the game. This is great for completionists to keep track of gathered skins and be on the lookout for more.
