Dragon Age The Veilguard: Into the Crossroads quest and Sirin the Twice-Forged boss battle guide

The story of Dragon Age The Veilguard takes place across multiple acts, of which Act 1 contains a few short main quests that can be completed rather quickly. Among these is the Into the Crossroads main quest, which as the name suggests, brings the party into the Crossroads section of the map. Though the quest is not lengthy, there are a few obstacles along the way. Also found in this quest is a fight with the boss named Sirin The Twice-Forged.

Here's a guide on how to complete the level with ease and take down the boss without losing much of the party's HP reserves.

Into the Crossroads quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

In the Lighthouse, Bellara will attempt to restore Solas' mirror. Once it becomes usable, interact with the mirror, which has now become a pathway to travel across the map with ease. When posed with the choice, it is suggested to take along Bellara, as she can prove to be a very strong ally in this mission. Additionally, Harding or Neve can be taken as per your preference.

Speak with the Caretaker, who will introduce the party to the Crossroads. Explore the area, and make sure to activate as many Beacons as possible across the region to make travel easier. Head over to the Caretaker's boat (marked on the map) when ready, and he will transport the party to a new part of the Crossroads area. There will be a beacon immediately after exiting the boat. Remember to activate as many of these as possible throughout the area.

Head straight past the beacon and downhill, into the area where some enemies are waiting to engage in combat with the party. It should be relatively straightforward to take them down using standard attacks. Upon defeating them, the mission marker will update and lead your party toward a door with Blighted Roots. The Caretaker will appear once again and mention that only the one who takes down the Champion can open the doors.

Head left from the door with the roots, down the path. It will diverge in two, and heading left will reveal a chest that can be opened to claim items. Head the opposite way, i.e. right from the diverging path, to reach an area with an incredibly large cyst. Be careful, as destroying this cyst will start the boss fight with Sirin The Twice-Forged.

Battling Sirin The Twice-Forged in Dragon Age The Veilguard

When Sirin is about to launch a heavy attack somewhere, that area will have a glowing red circle, which must be avoided. Sirin can also swing its club and land an attack on the area designated in red, so beware. Prioritise dodging, as the boss can also charge toward the party. Almost all of its attacks can deal Necrosis damage, so avoid getting hit by them.

Also, avoid dodging into areas where it has landed the ground attacks, as even these can deal some Necrosis damage. A combination of good dodging and heavy attacks will see it defeated without much trouble. After beating Sirin, collect the Champion's Essence from its corpse. Destroy the small cyst in the area where the first large cyst was destroyed, to gain an item and some gold.

Once done, head right from the area (where the large cyst was earlier) to find the path you came from as well as a small path leading upwards. Follow the latter to find a wolf statue, and climb up the ledge at the end of the path to claim a Fen’Harel Altar and one skill point. Continue on the previous path going upwards to reach an area with a ladder, and release it to get back to the main area.

Next, retrace your steps and reach the large gate you previously interacted with. Submit the Champion's Essence by interacting with the door. The Caretaker will show up, and comment about the pathway now being clear. With this, the quest will be completed.
