Dragon Age The Veilguard: Loyal Friends quest walkthrough

Dragon Age The Veilguard's campaign has many side quests that players play through. Among these is a quest found in the Arlathan Forests called Loyal Friends, which has the party find two Veil Jumpers who have gone missing. The quest has the party head out in search of Taynore and Gus, and help them return safely.

The quest can increase the bond with the Veil Jumper faction. Remember to make good use of the fast-travel beacons scattered around the map to make traversing to the main camp easier.

Loyal Friends quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Accept the quest, which will ask the party to help find Taynore and Gus and return them to the camp. Once the quest has been accepted, head to the marked location, which will be an empty, nameless building in the Shadowy Grove.

A quick way to reach this building is to use the fast-travel beacon found north, closest to the camp. From there, head west, shimmy over a log, head left and then immediately right, and pass the wolf statue and bear left. A pathway will lead to the building.

Blocking the inside entrance of the building is a large Blight Boil, so destroy it and proceed into the building. Head through the newly opened entrance, and there will be three blight boils that must be destroyed. The first boil is on the ground, the second is atop an elevated platform, and the final one is attached to a wall on the building you just exited. Unfortunately, investigating the second of these boils will reveal that Oros didn't make it.

Head back to the location of the first boil, and close to it will be another large boil. Destroy it and head down the ladder at the end of the path. Avoid the red blighted pools on the ground as these can cause Blight damage to all the party members. Unfortunately, Taynore will now have to be fought and can be taken down without much trouble by using some ranged attacks.

Just behind the area where Taynore was found is a small path that leads to a small bushy area. Gus will be among the bushes and is a Nug who was Oras' pet. Now, head back to the camp, which can be done quickly by using the camp's fast travel beacon. A small cutscene will play out, indicating the end of the quest.
