You will encounter the Sea of Blood quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard shortly after starting the fourth chapter. This mission falls under the list of main story quests that take place in Treviso, and becomes available once you complete Into the Crossroads. Staying true to its name, Sea of Blood promises a lot of combat as you are tasked with rescuing Lucanis from the prison alongside killing Warden Calivan

Dragon Age The Veilguard: Sea of Blood walkthrough

The first part of this quest has you rescuing Lucanis from prison. After starting Sea of Blood, you need to follow Teia to the marketplace in Treviso. Watch the brief cut scene and then follow Illari to the Venatori prison via a boat. Once at the prison, step out of the boat, walk down the path in front of you, and break the red barrier in your way. Following this, destroy the crystals locking the cell door to finally rescue Lucanis, a companion that you'll be able to romance later on.

Now, you need to get your hands on Lucanis' vial of blood. But before you can do so, you need to eliminate some Venatori cultists. After killing them, look around their corpses to discover a key to open the door in front of you. Once unlocked, go down this path and kill any enemy that comes your way. Look around carefully and you will find a power crystal inside a cell that can be used to activate the bridge nearby. Lucanis' ability to create bridges will also come in handy.

Keep walking down the path to enter a new area., where you'll get to fight a mage. After you manage to eliminate him, get rid of the red barrier in your way and keep progressing while using Lucanis' powers to kill all the enemies that spawn on this path. Once you reach Warden's tower, form a bridge using Lucanis' skills. Then, get on top of the abyss and reach the blood vault.

Here, you will spot a few red crystals covered with a shield. Observe and follow the red beam of light to reach a crystal without a shield and destroy it. Following the same step to destroy all the crystals to unlock the door guarding Lucanis' blood vial. Once inside, demolish Lucanis' blood vial, and use the elevator inside this vault to head to the roof. This is where Calican will be waiting for you, and you need to defeat him to complete Sea of Blood in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

How to kill Calivan in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Calivan is a mage in Dragon Age The Veilguard who attacks using projectiles while also causing explosions that deal AoE damage. He will also end up summoning a pride demon in the middle of the battle.

However, the battle is fairly easy as you just need to keep dodging the shockwaves to prevent your health from getting depleted. Once the pride demon is defeated, eliminate Calivan's clones using Lucanis' effect ability.

After you manage to kill Calivan, go talk to Lucanis to end this quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard.
