Dragon Age The Veilguard: Spirit of the Dalish side quest walkthrough

The Spirit of the Dalish in Dragon Age The Veilguard is a side quest located in the Arlathan Forest area. To complete this mission, you will need to find out what happened to the Dalish elves living in that area and put their spirits to rest. You can find this quest near the broken ship from where you got the boat to go to D'Meta's Crossing.

How to complete the Spirit of the Dalish side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

It is recommended to complete Harding's companion quest, Unfamiliar Sense, before taking on the Spirit of the Dalish side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard. This will unlock the power to move stones which will come into play while completing this mission. Moreover, if you wish to romance Bellara, make sure to take her on this quest as it will grant you more approval from her.

Once the quest pops up in the Arlathan Forest area, go to the broken-down ship and talk to the female elf's spirit. You will be tasked with recovering five mementos, belonging to the Dalish clan of elves, scattered throughout the forest. Here are all of their location.

Memento 1

The first memento can be located near the statue of the wolf. You will encounter some enemies here so take them out first. Once the coast is clear, walk up to the ledge and you will find the first Memento near a corpse crushed by the rocks.

Memento 2

While exploring the forest, you will come across a group of mercenaries near a bunch of stoned statuettes. Once you reach this place, your party members will exclaim that those are not statues but people turned into trees. From this area, climb up on the nearby ledge to get the second memento.

Memento 3

Head down to the riverside and you will spot a rift. Walk up to it and it will explode, revealing a small cave. The third memento is inside that cave.

Head to the shipwreck in the middle of the river and use the stones to jump across. You will find the fourth memento sitting beside the charred corpses.

Head to the final location and interact with the broken Eluvian mirror to obtain the fifth and final memento.

Once you are done collecting all the mementos, you will need to head back to the elven spirit to unlock the next objective of the Spirit of the Dalish side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

After talking to the spirit, make your way to the objective point and go around the broken elven ruin directly in front of the broken ship. You will find an odd-looking rock blocking the path, which can be moved using Harding's special ability.

Head into the next area and use Bellara's ability on the elven mechanism, then climb up the ledge and use Harding's skill to make a path. Head through the portal and interact with the alter to complete the Spirit of the Dalish side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard.
