Of the many companions in Dragon Age The Veilguard, Taash is a Qunari warrior who can be a very valuable ally to Rook and the party. A member of the Lords of Fortune faction, she wields dual axes as the primary mode of combat and can even breathe out flames and burn enemies. Her attacks can prove to be very beneficial in taking down powerful enemies.

Recruiting Taash in Dragon Age The Veilguard
Taash joins the party automatically after the events of the mission The Dragon Slayer during Act 1 of the campaign.
Taash's Abilities
Taash has five main abilities which can be used in battle.
1) Fire Breath
"Taash breathes out flames, igniting enemies with draconic fury. Deals damage and applies Burning to all enemies."
- Scorch - Damage vs. health: +20%
- Quick Ignition - Cooldown duration: -20%
- Cauterize: Duration- +100% or Inferno: Burning damage: +25%
- Deep Burn - Damage: +25%
- To Ash - Damage is increased by 10% per stack of Burning on the target.
- Dragonfire - The width of the breath is increased by 50% or Overheat - Every time a target takes damage from Burning applied by this Ability, the target's Fire Resistance is reduced by 5%
2) Dragon's Roar
"Taash roars with draconic fury, drawing enemy attention. Taunts enemies in the area, forcing them to briefly focus their attacks on Taash. Does not affect some of the strongest boss enemies."
- Quick to Anger - Cooldown duration: -20%
- Goad- Enemies Taunted by Taash take 10% more damage for the duration.
- Enraged Duration - +50% or Shouting Taunt Effective radius - +100%
- Inspiring Roar - While the effect is active, you replenish 50 health per second.
- Flaming Roar - Deals 300 Fire damage to all affected enemies.
- Insult to Injury - When activated, adds 1 stack to any active Affliction stack. or Look Out Below - On hit, you gain Deflect.
3) Dragonfire Strike
"Taash lands a fiery overhead strike that leaves enemies concussed, confused, and burning. Applies Burning to affected targets."
- Sear - Damage vs. health: +20%
- Heatwave - Damage vs. Burning: +25%
- Firestorm - The shockwave on impact deals an additional 200 Fire damage to enemies within 5 meters.
- Stoke the Flames - Taash's off-hand attack deals 50% additional Physical damage on top of the damage dealt by the initial strike.
- Lingering Flame - Stagger: +100%
- Spill Blood- Applies Bleeding to targets hit with the effect's initial impact, or Focus Fire - The shockwave on impact has a reduced radius but adds two stacks of Burning to enemies hit.
- Bring the Hurt Detonator - Detonates a Primed target, causing additional damage and effects.
- Explosive Timing - Detonations caused by this Ability apply Burning.

4) Spitfire
"Taash spits a searing burst of flame that takes the fight out of the foe. Deals high Stagger."
- Critical Strike - Critical damage: +25%
- Flame Splash - On hit, applies Burning.
- Armor Breake r- Damage vs. Armor: +50% or Razing Flames - Damage vs. Barrier: +50%
- Spreading Weakness - During combat Spitfire may trigger automatically. This has its own independent cooldown that cannot occur more than once every 60 seconds.
- Accelerant - Cooldown duration: -20%
- Overwhelming Pressure - Overwhelmed effectiveness: +10% or Overwhelming Duration - Overwhelmed duration: +50%.
5) Fortune's Favor
"Taash's luck and Lords of Fortune training all but ensure that you will get out of this battle alive. Briefly grants Invulnerable."
- Precise Immunity - When activated, you also gain Precision.
- Forceful Return - When the effect ends, enemies near you take 150 Fire damage and are Knocked Back.
- Buckle Down - When the effect ends, you gain Deflect. or Unstoppable Return - When the effect ends, you gain Immovable.
- Speedy Recovery - Cooldown duration: -20%
- Enrichment - Gain 10 Momentum each second you are Invulnerable.
- Continued Invulnerability- Duration: +2 seconds. or Respite - When the effect ends, you are healed for 20%

Taash's Veilguard Skills
Taash has two Veilguard Skills, which can be unlocked at the end of her questline — these are dependent on the choice made in terms of dialogue.
1) Rivaini Flair: Taash's Critical damage increases by 50%, with damage vs. High Health increased by 25. Additionally, her Burning now deals 50% more damage on the initial hit, reducing by 10% on each subsequent hit.
2) Qunari Focus: Taash's weapon attack damage increases by 50% with a 20% reduction in cooldown duration. Additionally, her Burning duration increases by 2 seconds.
Taash's Equipment
There are seven pieces of equipment or weaponry for Taash, which are as follows.
1) Battlehorn
- Attack My Target applies Vulnerability to Fire damage (30-second cooldown).
- Vulnerability to Fire damage is increased by +25%
2) Viridian Tusk
- Taunted Dragons take +50% damage
- Applying Taunted to Dragons deals 400 damage
3) Tusk of Glory
- Attack my Target applies Taunted; does not affect some of the strongest boss enemies (30-second cooldown)
- Taash deals +50% damage vs. Taunted enemies
4) Jade Cleaver
- The entire party gets +1 maximum Burning stacks
- Taash’s basic attacks can interrupt enemies with maximum Burning stacks
5) Golden Locus
- Attack My Target deals +25% damage vs. health; this bonus is doubled vs. Dragons
- Attack My Target’s damage bonus is now tripled vs. Dragons
6) Neckbreaker
- Attack My Target applies Burning to Antaam enemies (30-second cooldown)
- The entire party deals +25% damage vs. Antaam enemies
7) Treasure
- Taash gains +25% weapon damage
- Taash’s weapon attacks are always Critical vs. Knocked Down enemies.
