Dragon Age The Veilguard: The Snake Nest Deal walkthrough

The Snake Nest Deal is a side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard, located in the Dock Town region of Minrathous. This quest will task you with finding a man called Atticus by investigating the Snake Nest Inn. This is the second mission in the series of quests in Dragon Age The Veilguard and will be unlocked after you complete the Signs and Portents story mission.

How to complete The Snake Nest Deal side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

The Snake Nest Deal side quest will be available once you have completed the Signs and Potents main mission. Go to Dock Town Area and accept the quest from the crying woman, Sabina on the street. She will task you to find her husband Atticus, who was last seen going into the Snake Nest Inn.

Finding Atticus

To continue the Snake Nest Deal side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard, follow the objective marker that will lead you to the inn and inspect the Record Book of Linus Prosper document on the right side of the table. After that, talk with the barkeep and she will deny knowing anything. Go outside and you will be able to spot a pool of blood on the opposite side of the street.

You will find a Cumbled Note here, so inspect that. Then, climb the ladder in front of you and follow the blood trail. At the end of the balcony, you will find bloodstained clothes. Turn left and walk till you come across a room. Interact with the documents there till you are asked to head back the the Snake Nest Inn.

Talk to the barkeep again and she will hand over you the storage room key. Head to the opposite side of the street to find the room. Inside there, interact with the bookshelf to unveil a hidden chamber. Head in there and interact with Linus’s Storage Notes.

Further in the storage room, you'll find an elevator that will lead you to another area. Once there, jump down the ledge and turn around to find the path. Head in till you find the ritual site where you will find the Child’s Drawing and Blood-Smeared Page.

Knock down the beam (Image via EA)

Turn left to find another area with a body locked inside a cage. Open the cage and interact with the body. Now knock down the beam and take the first crystal to the device across the gap. This will open the locked door and reveal a portal. Return to the area, take the second crystal, and jump through the portal to return to the area near the elevator.

Attach the crystal to the device; this will turn on a bridge using which you can cross.

Head back to Sabina and talk with her to let her know the fate of Atticus. This will conclude the side quest The Snake Nest Deal side quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard, rewarding you with 500 XP, 100 Shadow Dragons Strength, and a Bleeding Shard.
