To start the Restless Dreams quest of the Hauntings series, you must first complete the Deathly Curiosity quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard. This quest can be accessed from the Hollow Belfry of the Lower Necropolis Halls. Talk to Myrna and Vorgoth and defeat the Burgeoning Malice at The Spectral Court.

After completing the Deathly Curiosity quest, the Hauntings: Restless Dreams quest will automatically be available in your Journal's Factions and Regions tab. However, you must go to the Arlathan Forest to progress in this quest.

Once you have teleported to the Arlathan Forest region, head to the objective marker on the map. Following that, you will encounter the sleepless spirit, Nocturnix. The main objective here is to defeat him and all of his summons.

While Nocturnix is a level 30 boss, the fight can be relatively simple if done proficiently. It should be noted that he has Cold damage resistance but is pretty vulnerable to Necrotic damage. With all of his ranged projectile attacks and constant spawn of enemies, it's best to bring Lucanis and another strong companion with you.

After defeating Nocturnix, you will obtain 6 Etheric Remnants, and a chest with 5 Fade-Touched Crystals. The next step is to report the incident to Myrna and Vorgoth located at the Necropolis Halls. Interact with them and the Hauntings: Restless Dreams mission will conclude. Notably, you will get the following rewards:

• 400 Gold
• 250 Mourn Watch Strength
• Captain's Heater (Appearance)

Completing the quest will also unlock Hauntings: From Beyond, the quest chain's next mission.
