Dragon Age The Veilguard walkthrough: How to complete the How to Train a Griffon quest

In Dragon Age The Veilguard, party members' bond levels can be increased by advancing in their respective storylines. One such quest is the How to Train a Griffon quest, which is part of Davrin's storyline and involves no combat but involves a lot of travel all across the vast map of Thedas. It is beneficial to complete this quest; however, as it helps advance forth with Davrin's storyline.

The quest is unlocked once Davrin joins the party, and can be started by interacting with him at the Lighthouse. Below is a guide on how to complete this qiuest in the game.

How to Train a Griffon quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Once Davrin joins the party and sets up his base at the Lighthouse, head towards his quarters. A yellow exclamation mark will indicate the mission's availability, so head in and interact with Davrin. He will mention how he likes to take Assan for a walk, which would take place in the Arlathan Forest.

Make your way to the Arlathan Forest quickly by fast traveling, and head towards the marker. Should fast travel Beacons be available to you, make use of them to travel even quicker. Follow the marker and meet Davrin at the Ancient Aqueduct area to start the quest.

From here, simply follow the quest marker, which will take you through Forest Mire and eventually lead into Waterfront Glades, where your task will be to find Truffles for Assan to feast on.

The mission notifies you to explore the three bushes in the area, so proceed to do so. Unfortunately, you will not find any truffles here, so continue following the marker deeper into the forest.

Follow the trail, which will lead you over precariously balanced logs and mantling onto ledges and higher areas. Eventually, you will reach an area with lots of Nugs. Here you will receive a prompt to interact with Assan.

Here, you will have a chance to increase your bond with Davrin even further. Choose "Behave, Assan" when prompted to receive a bond boost with Davrin. Lastly, choose "Confidence is sexy" to increase romance with Davrin, or simply choose "That's my motto" or "Don't be reckless" to increase your bond with him. For your troubles, receive an increase in Davrin's bond and 500 XP.
