How to find Kataranda's Lost Treasure in Dragon Age the Veilguard
Upon arriving at the Winding Shoreline on the Rivain Coast, you’ll immediately spot the first wreck. Use Taash’s Fire Breath ability on the Meltable objects near the wreck to uncover the first piece of Kataranda’s treasure. From there, follow the objective marker to reach the beach nearby. Here, you will find a cave that takes you to Dragon Beach, where you will find another wreck.
Investigate this wreck and use the Assan Dig ability to search marked dirt mounds for buried treasure. Keep digging until you find the right mound and get the treasure. Once you find the correct treasure, check out the third shipwreck nearby. However, on your way there, a bird will swoop in and steal your treasure.
Follow the bird and investigate three nearby bird nests to find the treasure again. Climb the ledges and rocks to scale the cliff and reach the quest markers.
Meanwhile, if you listen to Taash’s dialogue, they will hint that Lightning Dragons like Kataranda are weak to Necrotic damage.
Once you find the last piece of treasure, the quest will update. Now, it’s time to summon Kataranda at Dragon Beach.

How to summon Kataranda the Stormrider in Dragon Age the Veilguard
After gathering the treasure, head back to Dragon Beach to use it as bait. This will summon Kataranda the Stormrider, a Level 35 Lightning Dragon. Kataranda is highly resistant to Electric damage but vulnerable to Necrotic damage. The Death Caller build is very effective against it.
The dragon’s moves include some lightning breath attacks that can target multiple companions. Dodge these while focusing your attacks on the purple glowing weak points that appear on Kataranda’s body.
As you chip away at Kataranda’s health, the dragon will change tactics. At two-thirds health, Kataranda will infuse the water on the beach with electricity, turning it into a zone of control that deals constant damage if you step into it. To avoid this, stick to the small patches of dry land and use ranged attacks from your companions to deal damage while staying on foot.
At both 66% and 33% HP, Kataranda will retreat to a perch, raining down lightning strikes on your party. During these phases, stop attacking and focus on dodging the elemental attacks and avoiding electrified zones.
After a while, Kataranda will return to the ground for another go. Keep moving around and dealing necrotic damage to finish the dragon off for good.
