After reaching the Hosseber Wetlands region in the title, you can find a lady named Ida in the Lavendel area. Interact with her to start the Only an Echo quest. To proceed through the quest, however, make sure to complete the Something Wrong in the Wetlands quest first by meeting Evka and Antoine in the same region.

After talking to Ida, you must head to the Flooded Farmlands area in Hosseber Wetlands. Subsequently, you need to clear a few blight boils to fully access the area. There's also a Beacon available in Flooded Farmlands to access the teleportation mechanics.

The main task is to find four notes to investigate a missing family's disappearance. Although these are scattered around the area, you can check the map to find their locations and clear some blight boils to acquire them. All of the four notes' locations in the Only an Echo quest are described below:

• As you enter the Flooded Farmlands area, you can find a house in the northwest. Clear some blight boils and collect the first note in there.
• Afterward, cross the wooden plank on the southeast, use the ladder to go up, and collect the second note.
• The third note can be found at a farm in the location's southern corner.
• Then, head east from there to the well to locate the final note.

When you've collected all four notes, investigate the well to seal it. After that, navigate back to Lavendel, talk to Ida (the distressed villager), and it will complete the quest.

Finishing Only an Echo will grant you the following rewards:
