Dragon Age The Veilguard walkthrough: How to complete the Something Wicked quest

In Dragon Age The Veilguard, Something Wicked is a quest found in the Hossberg Wetlands area of the map. Like most other quests, this one involves having to take out some Darkspawn and help out NPCs in the process. You must also converse with soldiers, and then take down enemies to conclude the quest.

Rook must speak with wardens Evka and Antoine, who ask the protagonist and the party for assistance in the matter. That said, Something Wicked can be completed rather quickly. This guide explains how to do so and the rewards you will earn.

Something Wicked quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Head to the mission marker in Grey Hold, and converse with Evka and Antoine. The two will request Rook to alert three sentries on the map of the imminent danger likely to be caused by the incoming Darkspawn.

All three warden sentries are found in the immediate vicinity and are denoted by markers. Head over to all of them and pass on the warden's message to be wary and defend the village from the Darkspawn.

After talking to the three wardens Jaynie, Greta, and Augustin, head to Evka and speak to her. A few moments later, a horn will blare, signaling the arrival of the Darkspawn. Defeat the enemies by using various Fire attacks, as they are weak against this.

After defeating them, two markers will appear. One is to check on the wardens at the main gate, while the other is to defend the western side of the village from incoming Darkspawn. Go to the wardens holding down the fort at the main gate. Head in the opposite direction and take down the enemies.

The enemies are found north, past Lavendale, and are attacking the village from the Flooded Farmlands area. Use strategies similar to the previous encounter and focus on fire attacks. Look for the Ballista weapon in the area, as it can be highly effective in taking down enemies.

After some fighting, a cutscene will play where Rook and the party will be thanked by the wardens. In terms of rewards, you will receive 300 Gold and 300 Grey Wardens Strength, a Great Helm, and 2 Dragonfire Catalyst. Completing this quest also unlocks the criteria to begin the "Something's Coming" quest.
