Dragon Age The Veilguard walkthrough: How to complete Spinning Gold From Grey quest

In Dragon Age The Veilguard, there are many side quests for you to enjoy and partake in. These can range from character quests, which help party members level up, to optional side quests that can reward players handsomely. One such quest is the Spinning Gold From Grey quest, which involves assisting an NPC whose wish is to have a group of mercenaries stopped.

Found in the Hossberg Wetlands, this quest can reward you with many benefits and should not take too long, given the mercenaries are all located not too far apart from one another. Below is a guide on how to complete this side quest.

First, head over to the NPC with an exclamation mark over his head, which will also be marked on the map. He will mention the plight of him and his community, as they are unhappy with the mercenaries near them. He mentions how grateful he and his community would be should these mercs be eradicated. Accept his quest and follow the blue diamond markers to proceed into the region to start the quest.

Follow the path up the ladder, and follow the route, then head up the first set of stairs. The path will diverge, so take the left route, which passes under a bridge, and proceed towards the entrance in the wall marked by the indicator. From this point, there will be some smaller miscellaneous enemies. It is suggested to avoid fighting them and possibly losing health.

Continue following the path and climb up the platform. Directly in front is the first group of mercenaries. These mercenaries should not pose much of a challenge, so it is possible to defeat them without using too many skills. Once defeated, head onto the small set of stairs west of the area and climb up the platforms to head onto an upper floor.

Straight from there will be the next group of mercenaries who must be defeated. Here, be mindful of the Wary Mercenary targets, as they can land some heavy hits, which can take their toll on the party's health. Use skills like Reaper and Assan Strike to take them down if they prove to be challenging. Once defeated, head back outside onto the lower floor and proceed toward the final marker.

This will involve having to cross the area where you battled the first set of mercenaries and heading down two flights of stairs. These mercenaries are located near a boat and don armor which makes them the strongest enemies of this mission. Use heavy attacks to defeat them, and try to stagger them to land more hits.

Once these final mercenaries are defeated, head back to the NPC, which can be done quickly by using the Fast Travel beacon near him. Talk to him and he will be delighted to hear of your achievement. As a reward, you will receive 200 Gold, 5 Fade-Touched Ore, Increased Grey Warden Strength and an increase in the bond with the party members.
