To begin Warden Grey’s Final Repose quest, you must first unlock the Rivain Coast as an explorable location. Additionally, it's essential to progress through Taash’s companion quest, specifically completing the “Lair of the Dragon King” quest. Without completing this, you won't gain access to the Sharksmouth Cave, which is needed for completing the quest. Once the Rivain Coast is unlocked, head to the Eluvian Mirror near the coast's entrance.

Follow the same path you took during the main story quest along the Coast from the Mirror. After crossing the large tree branch, instead of turning right toward Warden Fort, turn left into a newly accessible clearing with ancient ruins. Here, you will start the quest by investigating this area to uncover the story of the first Qunari Warden.

How to complete the Warden Grey's Final Repose quest in Dragon Age The Veilguard

After starting the quest, follow the marker leading you into the Warden Fort. After reaching the Fort's courtyard, turn right to spot a barrel on a ledge. Blow up the barrel, which will lower a ladder. Climb up to find the first of several crucial notes detailing the history of Warden Grey.

Then, you will be instructed to explore the Caves of Sharksmouth. However, access to this region is locked until you've completed Taash's earlier quest. Once you've gained access to the Caves of Sharksmouth, head to the Beacon located at the entrance of the fortress. From there, climb the large staircase directly north, where you'll encounter groups of mercenaries and Darkspawn.

After clearing out enemies, you’ll find a note beside a barrel outside the fortress, revealing more about the Warden's fate. Head back inside the fortress, climbing another ladder to your left. This will guide you to the deeper sections of the ruins which will lead you to the boss arena where you'll face the Fury of Sharksmouth.

How to defeat the Fury of Sharksmouth in Dragon Age The Veilguard

This demon uses various fire-based attacks that can quickly overwhelm you and your party. Keep in mind that Fury is Vulnerable to Cold but Resistant to Fire, so plan your party composition and abilities accordingly. The demon’s primary attacks include a long-duration Fire Breath, explosive fire bombs, fire bolts, and charge attacks.

When the Fury uses its fire breath, it remains stationary, which you can exploit by flanking and landing heavy attacks to break its armor. However, getting too close may provoke its melee attacks, so dodge as soon as your attacks connect. The Fury also summons additional demons (Shades) during the fight to distract you. It’s often best to ignore these minions and focus on the Fury itself, especially if you have companions like Neve and Harding, who are effective at crowd control with their cold-based abilities.
