Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has many cosmetics and characters, which means you must farm Zeni! Zeni is the currency for the Dragon Ball universe, and while it’s not necessary to “grind” out hundreds of thousands of Zeni, it will let you unlock some characters faster. Once you’ve gone far enough in the various game modes, more and more characters unlock in the shop, and each one has its own stats, familiar attacks, and abilities.
Whether you want to purchase Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Vegeta, Mecha Frieza, or anyone else confirmed for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, you’ll need at least some Zeni in your pocket. If you’re having trouble with this, here are some tips to help you.

One of the easiest ways to farm Zeni in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is to play the Episode Battles. Each victory earns you around 15,000 Zeni, alongside other cosmetic rewards. If you replay battles, you can gain a little extra Zeni in stages that unlock something you already have.
You don’t have to play on Normal difficulty, either. If you don’t care about unlocking the optional side battles/what-if scenarios, you can play on reduced difficulty and smash through stages for free Zeni.
Another great way to farm Zeni in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is to complete mission objectives! Between Zenoh and Whis, there are lots of optional objectives that can net you some pretty solid amounts of Zeni. Some of these are very specific, so don’t be afraid to look into the details of these missions.
However, one of my favorite ways to farm Zeni in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is to play through World Tournaments! Coming in first place earns you a significant chunk of cash the first time you win - 160,000 Zeni. If you unlock a character this way - again, using the Cell Games as an example - you earn even more cash in the form of a refund.
You unlock Cell Jr. in the Cell Games, and if you already have him in your collection, that’s an extra 30,000 Zeni for doing nothing. Plus, the tournaments are a lot of fun, and great ways to challenge yourself - such as in the chaotic, random Yamcha games. This is the way to get the biggest cash payout at one time.
The second time you win though, you start to unlock Dragon Balls. There's one more way to make money - you can wish on the various Dragon Balls to get more Zeni! If you decide you want to spam the World Tournament - the easiest tournament - and knock everyone out of bounds, you can amass a nice little fortune through wishes.
