Dragon Ball Sparking Zero can finally be played as part of early access for Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Edition copy owners. Spike Chunsoft have created an almost perfect game for Dragon Ball fanatics, and the game already performs incredibly well on all platforms. However, some gamers are experiencing major crashing and stuttering issues on PC.

The game is still in early access and not available for standard edition owners. What this simply means is that we can hope to get updates in the near future that might fix this problem. However, till then, you can try the below-mentioned steps to get rid of stuttering and crashing in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

There can be multiple reasons as to why your game is crashing and lagging. Make sure you have the required hardware to run the game by checking the minimum specs needed to play the game. If this is not the issue, you can try these fixes:

Check for driver updates

If there are any driver updates available, make sure to download and install them. If you are using a Nvidia graphics card, open GeForce Experience and install drivers from there. If you are an AMD user, check for driver updates on AMD Adrenalin Edition software. Once this is done, restart your PC and check if the issue is resolved or not.

Verify Game Files

Next step that might help you is to checking the integrity of your game files. To do so, follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Launch Steam on your PC
  • Open your Game Library.
  • Right-click on the game and open Properties.
  • Browse through all of the options and go to the Installed Files tab.
  • Select 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' and let Steam analyse everything.
  • After this is done, try opening the game and check if the performance has improved or not.

Switching DirectX version

Even though the game runs on Direct X12, there is a slim chance that Steam might be trying to run the game on Direct X11. To make sure this is not the issue:

  • Open Steam and go to Game Library
  • Open Properties of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero by right-clicking on the game tile
  • Under the General tab, type -dx12 in the Launch Options box.

  • Closing background apps to allocate your resources to the game and experience improved performance.
  • Disabling app overlays to avoid unnecessary crashing and lag-related issues.
  • Enable the game through a firewall - Your firewall might be the reason the game is crashing for you. Grant permissions to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero via Windows Defender Firewall to fix the issue.
