There can be multiple reasons as to why a game keeps crashing or performing terribly. Let's take a look at some of these issues and the fixes for them, starting with the most basic fix:
1) Restart your console to fix overheating and ventilation issues
If your console gets really hot, there is a significant possibility of game crashes. To fix this, simply restart your Xbox:
- Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds.
- Wait for a short while before turning it on again.
- Now, open Dragon Ball Sparking Zero to see if the issues still prevail.
One of the biggest issues responsible for games crashing or lagging on a console or a PC can be improper ventilation. If you have your Xbox placed at a location where there is little to no ventilation, it can be fixed by finding an optimal spot and moving it there. Also, make sure to get rid of any accumulated dust on your console.
2) Check for game and system updates
If your game or system is not updated, there are chances that your games might crash. Moreover, updates and patches are released to improve and fix the prevailing issues in video games so we suggest you update your console.
If you have enabled 'Automatic Updates,' Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will update on its own. The same goes for your Xbox software. To get the peak performance possible on your console, keep your game as well as the console's software updated. To do it manually:
- Go to My Apps and Games, navigate through the options, and find Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Once on the game tile, press the Menu button and select 'Manage game and add-ons' and then select 'Check for Updates.'
- Next, make sure that your console's software is also up-to-date. To do this, go to Settings, select System, and then Updates. If there are any updates available, download and install them.
3) Reset your console
If none of the above-mentioned tips help, reset your console. This will delete all the corrupted system files or any software abnormalities. However, you need to make sure to reset the console without deleting any apps or app data. To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings on your Xbox.
- Select System followed by Console Info.
- Select Reset Console from here.
- Select 'Reset and keep my games and apps'
- After this, try relaunching Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
4) Storage available
If there is very little space available on your Xbox, clear up some not-in-use games and delete cache and saved game files. Clearing up some space might help with the performance of your console. Low available storage overloads the console's processor, which can result in issues like stuttering and crashing.
5) Check your internet connection
Since Dragon Ball Sparking Zero heavily relies on a strong internet connection, try switching to a different network. If possible, use a LAN connection to ensure you get the best internet speed possible. To check if it actually is the issue, connect to another Wi-Fi/hotspot.
Note: The fixes mentioned above are workarounds and are not guaranteed to work in every case.
