The various difficulty settings in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has three game modes that allow the player to choose the difficulty setting for the battles. These are Episode Battle, Versus mode, and lastly, the World Tournament mode, which can be played online and offline.
In the offline aspect of the World Tournament mode, players can choose between Weak, Normal, Strong, and Super difficulty modes for the AI. The same difficulty modes are presented in the Versus mode as well, allowing players to choose the ideal AI difficulty.
Episode Battles, on the other hand, offer players a choice between Normal and Easy difficulty modes. As the name suggests, Easy is not as challenging in terms of gameplay as compared to Normal mode. Additionally, secondary objectives or What If's cannot be earned while playing in the Easy mode.

Which difficulty mode is ideal for gameplay?
Regarding the World Tournaments and Versus mode, no ideal difficulty level in particular is recommended, as the events in these game modes are largely skill-based. Players can start with a lower difficulty mode, and then gradually scale it up to increase the gameplay challenge as per their skill level.
As for Episode Battles, the difficulty level can be chosen depending on how important secondary objectives are to the player. Since these can only be earned in Normal mode, players must choose that difficulty level to play through these battles. Should players be unable to defeat the bosses in Normal mode or not find the completion of secondary objectives important, they can opt for Easy mode.
