DRS Gaming and Gaimin Gladiators receive special invitation to PMGC DRS Gaming and Gaimin Gladiators have been granted a direct invitation to the League Stage of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023. These two slot distributions were not disclosed by Tencent during the initial announcement of the event.
With the revelation of two special invites, the names of all 50 participants for the Global Championship have been confirmed.
DRS Gaming, a renowned Nepali squad, was the runner-up in the PMGC 2022 and stunned everyone with their spectacular performance. However, the club encountered strong challenges in their regional PUBG Mobile tournaments. The team will now set out to repeat the same showdown as the previous iteration.
Earlier this year, Gaimin Gladiators acquired the former roster of HVVP and Natus Vincere. The Russian lineup is known for their outstanding skills as the squad has multiple multiple achievements while playing under different organisations.

In the PMGC 2020 and 2021 editions, the lineup had played for Natus Vincere and earned fourth and second places respectively. In the previous season, the squad under the name of HVVP and had a below average performance there.

The League Stage, scheduled for November 2 to 26, will see 48 teams face off for 14 slots in the Grand Finals. S2G Gaming from Turkey and TEC from China have gained a direct spot in the Finals, which will take place from December 8 to 10.

The 2023 Global Championship has a total prize money of $3 million. However, its prize pool is $1 million less than the previous edition.
To decide the 14 finalists, the League Phase will be hosted in three rounds; Group stage, Survival Stage, and Last Chance.
Nova Esports, the crown champions of 2020 and 2021 seasons, has failed to secure their place in the upcoming PMGC. It will be interesting to whether S2G Gaming will defend their world champion title or not.
Since the grand finale is planned to be played in Turkey, the defending champion will get huge support from the crowd at the venue and will aim to conquer the Global Championship 2023.
