The Valorant community was recently taken by storm as a 12-year-old player from North America reached the game’s highest rank, radiant. This makes him the youngest to achieve this feat as the popular Jake Lucky shared this achievement on X. Fans were both shocked and happy as they had a lot of kind and supportive words for the young boy.
Jake Lucky congratulated the youngster, @thundermeow_, for his incredible achievement and praised him for his dedication of around 2500 hours toward the game. The community was surprised and reacted with words of encouragement. Moreover, Talent agent Bri Rivers commented that she would keep an eye on the kid as a prospect.

Another X user named Griz pointed out how it was funny that the kid wasn't even old enough to stream but achieved something 99% of players fail to do.
Jake Lucky not only shared this feat but also commented on exactly how good the kid was. He shared all of @thundermeow_’s achievements, which included hitting Predator in Apex Legends and Unreal in Fortnite. He further shared that the kid had plans to go pro one day.
"This kid also has hit Predator in Apex Legends and Unreal in Fortnite, decided a little over a year ago to full commit to Valorant. Huge potential and yes he does have aspirations of going pro one day if it makes sense."
It was also a wholesome moment as pointed out by user wormy as thundermeow's mother had come up to celebrate his awesome achievement with him.
How difficult is it to reach Radiant in Valorant?
To reach Radiant in Valorant, you must master both aspects of the game: utility usage and gun mechanics. Only the top 500 players from a region can be Radiant at a time. This is extremely difficult even for players only grinding Valorant, let alone multiple games at a time, and as stated earlier, only 1% of the entire player base of Valorant has been able to earn this achievement.
Considering all the variables, it's evident how incredible it is to reach Radiant at just 12 years old. We should have nothing but praise for the kid and hope he has a bright future ahead in esports.
