Your primary method of healing in DW Origins is by using Consumable items. You will find various resources that will allow you to restore your HP across shops in the towns and cities of the provinces of Ancient China. Meat Bun — which is the most common item that is used for healing — will be your main source of surviving the Battlefield.
Meat Buns are replenishable, as even if you use all of them in one battle, you will get them back during the next one. You won’t have to buy Meat Buns from shops, but there are other resources such as potions that you can either purchase or obtain by completing various missions in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
You can perform healing by pressing the Z key on your keyboard on a PC or by pressing D-Pad Up on your controller.

Meat Buns can also be obtained during battle, but there is a high RNG factor involved. You can obtain this Consumable via the following methods:
- Jars containing Meat Buns can be found across certain parts of the map. Use your Eyes of the Sacred Bird ability to locate them.
- Enemy Officers have a chance to drop Meat Buns. You can equip weapons and items with passive abilities that increase the chance of enemies dropping Meat Buns.

Various Accessories and Gems can provide you with passive healing. But keep in mind that the restoration effect from these items will be triggered upon meeting certain conditions, such as defeating enemy officers or getting 100 KOs. The HP you get back will also be very low compared to that you can restore by using Consumables.
