Unlike Shu, Dynasty Warriors Origins’ Wu faction has several True Ending Route battles, one of these is Chapter 4’s Suppression of Wu. This is the battle where Sun Ce meets his end, keeping up the pattern from the previous True Ending Route battle in Chapter 3. It’s also a mission where you have to work incredibly fast and fight a powerful boss, much like the previous mission.
Time and speed are of the essence, because not only do you have to overcome a boss, you still have to keep the normal mission objectives in mind. While the Chapter 3 unlock ends the battle immediately, you aren’t so lucky here. There may be other ways to complete Suppression of Wu to complete this part of the Wu True Ending unlock in Dynasty Warriors Origins, but the route below is the one I took.
Your goal in this mission is to prevent the death of Sun Ce, before finishing the map as normal.

How to unlock the Wu True Ending Route in Dynasty Warriors Origins’ Suppression of Wu
Much like the previous mission, I recommend playing Suppression of Wu for the Wu True Ending Route of Dynasty Warriors Origins on Historical difficulty. The boss you battle for this mission is incredibly challenging and summons a swarm of phantoms and phantom officers, making it even more difficult.
Fortunately, once you’ve completed the previous True Ending Unlock, you can head to Story Mode and navigate to Chapter 4’s Gold Banner, Suppression of Wu. You don’t have to play through the other stages again, unless you want to for more exp, completing challenges, or for any other reason you see fit.
The early moments of the mission will play out exactly as they normally would. Defeat the first officers you come across, like Xu Jing, and head west to take on the closest fortress. You’ll find a generic officer and Wen Hui here, so take them out, and kill enough soldiers to claim the base. Head south, and beat up the next officer, too — Brave Shanyue General.
Two more officers will come riding in from the southwest, so take the time to defeat them as well. All of these kills serve to make some of the mission easier. You still have to make sure Zhou Yu and Sun Quan don’t die, after all. Slay these officers and continue with Suppression of Wu for Dynasty Warriors Origins’ Wu True Ending Route.
Sun Ce’s going to start making his way to the Western fort, but instead of helping him, go south, and defeat the nearby enemy base. This will help your other officers, so they take less damage. Before you go help Sun Ce at the base, you’ll also see some reinforcements appear in the east to attack Sun Quan. These are your top priority. Slay them immediately.
Here’s the tricky part of this Dynasty Warriors Origins battle. Another group of reinforcements also show up at the southern base, and will start attacking Sun Quan. If you’re strong and fast enough, you can deal with the enemy boss and come back to save him. I recommend trying it this way - and if it fails, defeat the additional reinforcements and rush into the woods to the west.
That’s where Sun Ce is — a deep mist will envelop the woods, and he’ll get lost. You need to immediately find the source of the mist and defeat it. In this case, it’s our friend Bailuan, and he’s stronger than ever. You have to defeat him fast. If you use Eagle Sight, you can find the trail, but if you miss it, check the image above to see where to go.
At first, Bailuan is alone and just uses sword techniques to fight you. After the first time you break his guard and assault him, he’ll start conjuring sleet. This rains down powerful icicles from the sky to knock you around and deal damage.
At 50% health, he’ll remark that you’ve “grown stronger, in your own way.” Here’s where he summons a flood of Phantom Soldiers, and a few Phantom Officers to fight you. You just need to defeat Bailuan, but you may find yourself fighting the officers first. They can easily trap you in a corner and juggle you — it’s not a fun time.
I used Wheels to fight him, as they can do repeated quick hits and are excellent at shredding defenses. Use whatever weapons you feel comfortable with, though. I also used Arrows/Fire Arrows/Cavalry Charge as my tactics of choice.
It’s going to be incredibly important to be good at dodging for this Dynasty Warriors Origins fight or take a weapon that increaess the timer for perfect dodges. That way, you can keep restoring your Bravery. Around 25% or so HP he’ll do the thing all bosses do — start charging up their deadly Musou Attack.
Use whatever bravery/multihit skills you can to break his guard, and his assault. This will be enough to defeat him once and for all. Once Bailuan is done taunting you about “The Little Conqueror’s Fate,” you should see a Fate Altered logo appear on screen. That means you’ve succeeded.
Now, just play the stage as it’s meant to be played — keep your officers safe, and defeat every enemy officer, and you’ll wrap this up. That’s all there is to completing the Wu True Ending Route for Dynasty Warriors Origins’ Suppression of Wu battle.
