#10 The Hunger Games: Panem Rising

The last instalment of the Hunger Games trilogy is now out in cinemas, so it’s the perfect time for Kabam to release the official mobile game for the movie, titled The Hunger Games: Panem Rising. Kabam had previous brought us The Hobbit a good omen.

The game is set in the world of Panem after the events of “Catching Fire” and involves building a team of rebels to battle the Capitol and its Peacekeepers while improving your skills and exploring the world of Panem.

#9 Turbo Dismount

Turbo Dismount is a “crash simulator”. The game lets you load your own picture or face onto a crash test dummy and then lets you proceed to crashing the hell out of the vehicle and scoring points depending upon how bad the crash was.

Your only objective is to cause as much chaos as possible with “Mr Dismount and the cars who love him”. The game also offers slow-motion replays for players to review the chaos and has an impressive physics engine.

#8 Mark of the Dragon

There have been many games that feature the ability to raise and breed virtual creatures but Mark of the Dragon, a new release by Gamevil is bringing something new to the theme by allowing players to breed dragons as well as battle other dragons.

The game has some very anime-like characters and vivid cel shaded graphic. It also boasts of a guild and multiplayer raiding feature.

#7 Endless Doves

Endless Doves is a lot like flappy bird with retro Game Boy style graphics and soundtrack. The gameplay is quite simple, as the developers some up, all you have to do is “Collect Doves, Don’t Crash”.

The game is very entertaining and perfect for a younger audience, and its retro visuals and sound track is quite charming and definitely a lot more fun than Flappy Bird.

#6 Jet Run: City Defender

Jet Run: City Defender is a very cool looking android game. The game is a lot like a cross between Temple Run and After Burner where you have to pilot a fighter jet through an urban landscape while defeating invaders (yes, space invaders) and avoiding bombs and other obstacles.

You also have missiles and even a nuke at your disposal to fire at anything in your path.

#5 Football Manager Handheld 2015

Good news for football fans out there, the popular Football Manager has now made its way to the Android and iOS systems in its original Championship Manager incarnation. So if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to manage a football team then look no further.

The game so far is probably the best/only football management game out there for the mobile. It has a very smooth match engine and a neat interface so things look less complicating.

#4 Battle Worlds: Kronos

Battle Worlds: Kronos is another hardcore strategy game so strategy fans are going to be pleased this week. The game is a turn based tablet wargame with a lot of depths. The graphics are brilliant and game features a single player and a multiplayer mode, with over 50 hours of solo game play on the single player.

You play as an unknown commander from the gutter and its now your duty to rescue your troops from a force that threatens them.

#3 Kingdom Rush Origins

Kingdom Rush is a tower defence game which features cool soundtrack, colourful cartoony graphics, a Legolas looking character and a medieval fantasy theme. Origins is set as a prequel to the previous versions of the game and is probably the best version so far.

It works like any other tower defence game, requiring planning and strategy as you place your forces to fight off waves of enemies. The game is polished engrossing strategy game that’s bound to keep you hooked for hours.

#2 Five Nights at Freddys 2

Horror games are hard to come by on the android os so the recent and rather excellent Five Nights at Freddy’s was a welcome change. The game was set in a spooky pizza restaurant and features creepy animatronic characters which is bound to scare any kid from ever returning to Chuck E Cheese.

Developer Scott Cawthon has now released a spooky sequel that looks as impressive as the first. The game now lets you track the animatronic characters through security camera footage and fend them off by wearing a mask and disguising yourself as one.

#1 The Banner Saga

One of the first successful kickstarters, The Banner Saga developed by a company called Stoic, is now available for the android and iOS platforms. The game is a Viking themed RPG that was recently spared a lawsuit from the people over at Candy Crush, whhich is great as the game has some amazing storytelling and gripping battles to offer players.

Your decisions in the game will also directly affect your tribes supplies and morale. The art and graphics for the game is also extremely stunning.
