Xbox fans have been literally begging for a new Fable game forever and after Microsoft closed off the studio behind this series, Lionhead studios, fans thought that their dreams have been outright murdered in daylight.

Hopefully, things are going to change because the rumors suggest that Microsoft is indeed bringing back Fable for the next generation and their latest first-party addition - Playground Games, seems to be working on one.

This is huge news and what's interesting is that even though the Playground Games have been making Forza games exclusively for Xbox since forever, only last year they were officially purchased by Microsoft as there first party studios.

That actually indicates that Microsoft is indeed interested in handling over the Fable project to a talented studio and Playground Games seems to be the perfect fit.

As a long time Fable fan, all I'm saying is that we don't big gameplay reveal or anything. Even a 30-second clip showing the logo of the game will be enough to satisfy our needs. Not to mention that Xbox absolutely needs an action RPG game of their own to compete with Sony's Horizon Zero Dawn. Who knows this might be the reason Microsoft is bringing Fable back?
