The EA FC 24 Code 106133 error is triggered when the EA app fails to connect to the servers

While EA FC 24 doesn't require an active internet connection at all times, the EA app has certain additional functions that require it. A Code 106133 error occurs if the connection is disrupted for any reason. This stops the game from starting, as the EA anti-cheat is stopped from loading.

There are two potential solutions that some users have tried so far with success:

Solution 1

The first solution is to run the EA app in the offline mode. This is quite easy, and you can do so from the main screen of the desktop app. Click on the three horizontal bars at the top left to show a drop-down menu.

From this menu, you can choose Go Offline. Wait a few seconds for the app to go offline before starting EA FC 24. This could prevent the Code 106133 error.

Solution 2

This method applies to those who have got a copy of EA FC 24 on Steam. Even if you have bought the game on Steam, using the EA app is mandatory. To prevent the error, all you need to do is run the Steam app in offline mode. Similar to how you go offline in the EA app, click on Steam on the top left.

This will create a pop-up menu from where you can go offline. Wait a few seconds before launching the game from your Steam library. The error won't be triggered anymore, and you will be able to run the game normally.

Even if your EA app and Steam are offline, you'll still be able to access all online functions within the game, including the Ultimate Team mode.
