Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was the most-funded RPG in 2020. Some of the success can be attributed to the work of Rabbit & Bear Studios, the crucial creators of Suikoden. These creators assured supporters that if they met their financing target, they would create a Suikoden sequel that never existed in the form of a new series, and here it is!
What is the plot of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes?
In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, magical devices known as "rune-lenses" govern the natural order of things in Allraan. However, the Galdean Empire discovered a technique to enhance the power of these artefacts, disturbing the equilibrium between the countries.
The Galdean Empire dispatched armies throughout the continent, searching for an object to fortify them even more. During one of these escapades, Seign Kesling, a Galdean imperial officer, encounters Nowa, a country lad. However, as the advertising materials show, a twist of fate sweeps them into the fires of battle.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Gameplay
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is Suikoden's spiritual successor. It's different from Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, a side-scrolling RPG. A Hundred Heroes resembles Octopath and the original Suikoden titles. Expect fantasy-inspired environments with anime visuals and more significant movement than in Rising.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the sequel of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising?
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a precursor to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Rabbit & Bear Studios built it in response to "overwhelming interest" in a companion game. Surplus cash from Hundred Heroes aided the project. Before the conflict, several characters from Hundred Heroes appeared in the Eiyuden Chronicle.
It was announced at E3 alongside Hundred Heroes. You don't have to play it to enjoy Hundred Heroes, but it should expose some entertaining Easter eggs for both games' fans.
