Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test announced: Date, timings, and more

Ahead of its launch this year, Bandai Namco announced a playtest for Elden RIng Neightreign. The upcoming co-op multiplayer spin-off of the universally praised 2022 action RPG Elden RIng will receive its Closed Network Test on February 14-17, 2025. While registrations have gone live as of writing, note that this closed test will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

No word on a future PC test has been confirmed yet, so Steam players will undoubtedly be disappointed. Here's everything to know about the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test.

How to sign up for the Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test

This playtest will allow players (either solo or in teams of strictly 3 players) to experience a small portion of the game. This is to test the server load and iron out any kinks as the team prepares for launch later in the year. Since registrations are live, here's how players can partake in the Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test.

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign registration page on the Bandai Namco website.
2. Create an account and sign in.
3. On the registration page, pick your platform of choice between PS5 or Xbox Series X|S and answer the short questionnaire.
4. Click on Validate to confirm your choice.

Eligible players will be notified via email if they are selected for the Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test. That said, the playtest will take place across five 3-hour sessions. Here are the timings to take note of so players can plan their multiplayer dives with friends accordingly:

• February 14, 2025, from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
• February 15, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 PM PT
• February 16, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM PT
• February 16, 2025, from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
• February 17, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 PM PT

It should also be noted that players do not require PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscriptions to partake in this closed test.
