Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree takes place on an entirely new map that requires you to collect five map fragments to reveal. Named Land of the Shadows, this new map is a lot bigger than anticipated and the player base is excited to explore every corner of this world. But before going on about exploring the Land of the Shadows, it’s vital to get a bird’s eye view of the entire world to plan out your travel routes.

All Map Fragment locations in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

There are a total of five main sections of the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree map that can be revealed with their corresponding fragments. Land of the Shadows features intricate interwoven areas, which can be confusing to traverse given the vertical nature of the regions. This can make it difficult to find the map fragments even with the obelisk mark on your uncovered map.

Here’s a list of all the regions that have their own map fragments.

1) Gravesite Plain Map Fragment

The Gravesite Plain Map Fragment is the easiest to find as it is very close to where you spawn upon entering into the DLC. Travel northeast from your starting location and follow along the road toward the Scorched Ruins landmark till you see the map fragment waiting to be collected.

2) Southern Shore Map Fragment

The Southern Shore Map Fragment uncovers a region called the Cerulean Coast which can be seen from the Graviste Plain hills. Travel southwards following the Ellac River below the great bridge to Castle Ensis. You’ll come across the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace from where you need to travel southwards to find the Southern Shore Map Fragment alongside a large open area.

3) Scadu Altus Map Fragment

The Scadu Altus Map Fragment can be found after clearing out Castle Ensis. When you come out of the castle, you’ll find the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. Keep traveling north following the main road and you’ll find the Scadu Altus Map Fragment next to a Monolith. You can also obtain the Repeating Bow around here.

4) Rauh Ruins Map Fragment

Rauh Ruins Map Fragment can be found traveling northeast from the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace in the Scadu Atlus region. Travel towards the hidden cave following the tunnel to the Ancient Ruins Base. Keep by the canyon and the Rauh Ruins map fragment will be right outside the Temple Town Ruins.

5) Abyssal Woods Map Fragment

The Abyssal Woods Map Fragment can be found later in the game, which requires you to take a long convoluted path after defeating the Golden Hippopotamus at the Shadow Keep Dungeon. You’ll reach the Recluses’ River Upstream Site of Grace from where you need to travel southwards.

Make your way to the Forsaken Graveyard Site of Grace after clearing Darklight Catacombs. From here you just need to continue southwards where you’ll find the Abyssal Woods Map Fragment near the Church Ruins Site of Grace.
