Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is undoubtedly one of the very best Souls-like experiences out there, perhaps even more so than the base game itself. However, despite being a DLC to a more than 2-year-old title, Shadow of the Erdtree has some really annoying technical issues on PC, which not only hamper the game's immersion but can also render it unplayable.
The game's performance and lack of quality-of-life features like an unlocked framerate and Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide support on PC, is a major issue for many players. However, apart from these minor nitpicks, the DLC also houses some game-breaking glitches and bugs, one of which I encountered quite recently.
Even after making sure I have the latest update installed, I could easily replicate the bug on all my save files. Here's a detailed look at what is essentially a game-breaking bug in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree's PC version.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree's PC version has a game-breaking bug involving one of the end-game regions and Sites of Grace
The bug that I'm talking about is related to the end-game area of Shadow of the Erdtree - Enir-Ilim. While the region is much better compared to Gravesite Plains or even the Shadow Keep, which seem to be the hot spot for framerate drops, it does feature a really annoying and game-breaking bug, pertaining to one of the Sites of Grace.
After you make it to the top of Enir-Ilim, and manage to defeat the final boss of Elden Ring's DLC, Promised Consort Radahn, you will be able to activate the final Site of Grace of the DLC - Gate of Divinity. However, I would highly recommend not resting at the Site of Grace, especially if you plan to quit the game right after.
If you rest at the Gate of Divinity Site of Grace and then quit and reload the save, your character will load into limbo, somewhere between Mohgwyn Palace and the Subterranean Shunning Grounds with no option to get out of it. Or worse, you'll load into nothingness with your character immediately dying.
Additionally, any Runes you have on your character will be lost since they'll get trapped in limbo or above the Gate of Divinity Site of Grace, with no option for you to retrieve them. I was able to replicate this same error on all my six save files on PC, losing roughly a million worth of Runes in the process. A small price to pay for the greater good, I guess.
It should be noted that there were a few occasions when I was able to respawn at the Gate of Divinity Site of Grace after loading back the save in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. However, most of the time, it loaded me into limbo or straight up killed me and respawned me to the nearest Site of Grace.
Unfortunately, even after doing a full fresh re-install of the game, verifying game files, and disabling the anti-cheat, I wasn't able to come up with a working fix for this issue. As such, for the time being, I highly recommend staying far away from the Gate of Divinity Site of Grace, at least until FromSoftware acknowledges and fixes it.
