Follow the steps below to obtain the Great Katana:

1. If you're sitting on the Gravesite Plain Grace (the starting Grace point of the DLC), run north to find the Three-Path Cross Grace.
2. From there, proceed to the north again and look for the big lake.
3. When you're in the middle of the lake, you will see a sleeping dragon named "Ghostflame Dragon." Now, you can loot the Great Katana in front of it.

You don't even have to fight the dragon as you can just grab the weapon and run away from the location.
