Revered Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree are the latest upgrade materials you will find in the Realm of Shadows. These special items are optional Upgrade Materials that can be utilized at any Site of Grace to enhance summoned spirits and the spectral steed's powers to deal and nullify harm.

With the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, players now have access to 20 more powerful Spirit Ashes on top of the ones already available in the base game. Moreover, players can now utilize a new item called Revered Spirit Ash to boost the potency of these 20 new summons. The in-game description states that Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is an upgrade item similar to Scadutree Fragment that can be acquired from the corpses of hornsent and artifacts used to accessorize villages and townships throughout the Realm of Shadow ritualistically. Players may consume it in Sites of Grace to strengthen their Revered Spirit Ash Blessing.

As you explore the DLC and do its story quests, you will come across Revered Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Once you have accumulated a sufficient amount of these resources, putting them to use is easy.

You just need to rest at a Site of Grace, where a new option, Shadow Realm Blessings, will be available. Selecting it will bring up another menu. On it, choose Revered Spirit Ashes Blessing to consume these resources.

This will improve the Shadow Realm Blessing, which helps enhance both the spirits you can summon in the Realm of Shadow and the Spectral Steed's ability to deal as well as negate damage.
