Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: How to obtain Gaius's Greaves

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree’s Gaius’s Greaves are a part of the whole Gaius armor set and is certainly a set worth collecting. With solid stats all around, they also have a very interesting in-game description. Although they were said to be a cruel joke made for Commander Gaius, who could not wear them, nothing is stopping you from unlocking them for personal use.

While you do need to defeat Commander Gaius to obtain the Gaius’s Greaves in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, he doesn’t have them on him. After all, the description says he cannot use them. You do still need to slay the Remembrance boss before you can claim these as your own. Here’s what you need to know.

Where to acquire the Gaius’s Greaves Leg Armor in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

The Gaius’s Greaves Leg Armor in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree can be found on an enemy after you defeat the Remembrance boss Commander Gaius. They are a part of his full armor set, and the first three pieces are purchased from Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold. If you want to complete the set, defeat the boss, and head north/northwest.

To claim the Gaius’s Greaves as your own in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, head northwest of Shadow Keep - home of the deadly Golden Hippopotamus. The Back Gate Site of Grace is a solid point of fast travel. Use the image above to find the location on the map, and head there. You’re looking for a soldier riding a wolf - the Mounted Albinauric Archer.

Defeat it and its wolf rider, then loot the body of the archer, and you’ll have possession of the Gaius’s Greaves in Shadow of the Erdtree. The enemy itself isn’t a boss or anything. All you must do is beat them and loot the body, and you’re done!
