The Rolling Sparks Ash of War is a new addition to the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It can be equipped with the newly added weapon, Perfume Bottles. When cast, it scatters perfume powder in front of you that explodes almost immediately dealing significant damage to the enemy. Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has introduced a handful of new weapons, spells, and Ashes of Wars among other things; however, Rolling Sparks Ash of War stands out as one of the most powerful for PvP fights.

The Rolling Sparks Ash of War is found in the Scadu Altus region in the Land of Shadow. This region lies northwest of the Gravesite Plains where you spawn after interacting with Miquella’s egg. To acquire the Rolling Sparks Ash of War, follow the steps below.

  • From the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace travel north till you reach the Scorched Ruins.
  • Continue further north into Castle Ensis and defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, which will grant you access to the next area called Scadu Altus.
  • From the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, continue northwards along the road going past the encampments of Messmer’s Soldiers. While you're here, you can acquire the Repeating Crossbow from a dead soldier's body.
  • If you travel Northeast from here, you’ll find the Furnace Golem. Continue going straight till you find the Shadow Keep.
  • Climb the hill that has wooden spikes as barricades. You’ll find a few perfumers here but you need to ignore them and continue climbing up the hill.
  • You’ll finally see a flying scarab which you can shoot down with any incantation, spell, or weaponry. Kill the scarab to obtain the Rolling Sparks Ash of War. However, be warned, the scarab explodes when you kill it dealing significant damage to you.

What is the Rolling Sparks Ash of War?

The Rolling Sparks is an Ash of War that can be equipped on to Perfume Bottles. While it does not add any additional affinity, it does impart the Rolling Sparks skill which costs only 14 FP to use. Here’s what the item description says.

“This Ash of War grants no affinity to an armament, but imparts the following skill:
"Rolling Sparks: Scatter perfumed powder before you, triggering rolling explosions of deadly sparks. The properties of the sparks are determined by the perfume bottle used."

The powerful explosions caused by the scattered perfume do immense damage. If used in close quarters, it holds one-shot kill potential when used against other players in PvP.
