Tier list for all remembrance bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
S Tier
- Promised Consort Radahn
- Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame
- Messmer the Impaler
Promised Consort Radahn is an intimidating boss. Before the DLC came out, people wondered how strong Prime Radahn would be, and the one in Shadow of the Erdtree exceeded all expectations. His flashy moves will make it seem like you're in an anime battle, but they're not just for show; a single misstep and Radahn will put an end to your foolish ambitions. If the boss wasn't good enough already, the soundtrack just elevates him to the next level.
Promised Consort Radahn might not be the boss people wanted to face at the end of SOTE, but as far as bosses go, he is perhaps the best one in the game.
Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame, is designed perfectly for someone who embodies chaos. The things you must do to reach Midra, along with the fight's setting and music, elevate it to another level. Despite being the Lord of Frenzied Flame, Midra is ever so elegant with his sword swings. However, you get to see his love for chaos in full bloom when he levitates and spreads out his arms mid-fight. Midra isn't the toughest, but he is definitely the coolest boss on this list.
Everything about Messmer the Impaler is of the highest quality, be it his moveset, music, boss design, or lore. Messmer is a tough opponent, but not once does the fight against him feel like it's unfair, which is a wonderful achievement considering how challenging he can be. His fire attacks will have you feeling like you're facing off against an anime MC. But if you stop to admire the spectacle, Messmer will burn you to a crisp.

A Tier
- Bayle the Dread
- Rellana, Twin Moon Knight
- Romina, Saint of the Bud
Bayle the Dread is supposed to be the strongest dragon in SOTE, which is clear from a single glance at this enemy. Bayle is ruthless and will rip most people apart despite missing a leg and wings. Moreover, his attacks are some of the most cinematic spectacles in the DLC. That combined with the amazing dialogue and presence of NPC summon Igon and Bayle the Dread makes it one of the most cinematic and satisfying boss fights in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.
Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, is one of the coolest-looking bosses in the DLC. Rellana is Rennala's sister, which makes her lore interesting as well. Apart from the cool design and interesting lore, Rellana has perhaps the best moveset of any boss in the game. Your fight against Rellana will look less like a duel and more like a dance. When you combine that with all the cool moves she does with fire and magic, you get one of the best bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. The only thing holding this boss back is her difficulty, she can be a little too easy to defeat, which is a bit of a letdown.
Romina, Saint of the Bud, can be described as a half-human and half-insect, and her design is very well done. During the fight, she will use her poleblade and her huge centipede-like legs to deal damage. This makes for a deadly moveset that is fun to go up against but can also be quite difficult. It is thanks to this difficulty that defeating Romina is an immensely satisfying experience.

B Tier
- Divine Beast Dancing Lion
- Commander Gaius
- Putrescent Knight
The Divine Beast Dancing Lion's design is one of the best boss designs in Shadow of the Erdtree. However, this boss is not just for show and will run you down with ice, lightning, and wind attacks, making it a difficult encounter. Last but not least, the music that kicks in during this fight will have you at the edge of your seat with excitement as you face off against this gigantic beast.
Commander Gaius' design is impeccable. He is huge and rides a boar that is even bigger than him. This boss fights the entire battle while riding his boar, and also uses gravity to fight you off at times. Gaius as a boss is pretty decent and is capable of giving you a lot of trouble. However, the weak soundtrack and his lackluster lore leave a little to be desired.
Putrescent Knight's design is top-notch. At a single glance, the Putrescent Knight seems creepy, and the way this enemy moves around the arena, twisting and turning along with their sword, only makes him creepier. If it weren't for his relatively easy-to-dodge attacks, Putrescent Knight would be one of the best bosses in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

C Tier
- Scadutree Avatar
- Metyr, Mother of Fingers
The Scadutree Avatar is one of the most difficult yet fair bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree. The boss uses a ton of interesting moves but overstays their welcome. The fight against this enemy starts as fun but begins to feel like a chore when you realize you'll have to deplete three health bars to defeat them. If it wasn't for the length of this encounter, it would be higher up on this list.
Metyr, Mother of Fingers, is another boss who will make you feel uneasy due to this creature's creepy design. Her lore also does a lot for the players, since it is revealed that Metyr is the abandoned daughter of the greater will. However, defeating Metyr is a bit too easy, which makes the entire fight feel a bit underwhelming.
