Details

When an Elixir Golem is defeated in battle, it gives the opponent one elixir and bursts into two smaller Elixir Golemites. The Golemites have low damage and moderate HP. When defeated, they give the opponent 0.5 elixirs each and split into two smaller Elixir Blobs. The Elixir Blobs have low damage and HP and also give opponents 0.5 elixirs when defeated.

Therefore, if we deploy an Elixir Golem, it will give our opponent four elixirs in total, once completely defeated.

To get the best value out of Elixir Golem, ensure that its defeat takes as long as possible, as this will not let the opponent have all four elixirs at once.

The most cost-effective way to defeat it is with swarms. Therefore, placing a Valkyrie in front of it will help mitigate this shortcoming. Furthermore, the Zap spell can also help with countering swarms. Since the spell's deployment is instant, Elixir Golem will not take much damage before the swarm is defeated.

A popular combination of troops is Elixir Golem with Battle Healer and Phoenix. Battle Healer helps the Elixir Golem survive longer, and Phoenix provides coverage against air troops. In return, Elixir Golem absorbs damage for the other two.
