Players will have to pick the side of either Peacekeeper or Prapor during the Escape from Tarkov Arms Race event. This is an important detail because rewards will be distributed depending on the side you pick. Furthermore, you will also collect smaller rewards for finishing tasks including an XP boost that can help newer players get ahead in their game.
An achievement will also be unlocked upon finishing the quest line however, the exact nature of this achievement has not been made clear by Battlestate Games. However, a few quests have come to light.
Completing quests during Escape from Tarkov Arms Race event
Your first quest will be 'Import Control.' To complete it, you must kill 10 Scavs on Factory. After doing so, you must collect their weapons and hand them over Mechanic. Many Scavs have been spawning with two weapons in the game now.
Players may have noticed that the second Scav weapon has a higher quality than their usual ones, however, it would also have very low durability. This is related to the next quest called ‘What’s Your Evidence.’ To finish this quest, you must obtain 10 ‘Western’ Scav weapons with low durability and give them to Peackeeper for examination.
Escape from Tarkov fans will witness many such quests including Caught Red-Handed, Risks of Small Business, and Protection of Interests. Going through each quest will lead you to the next. Some of these quests are given to the player by Prapor while others have been given by Peacekeeper as the two prepare to fight against one another.
These quests help with winning in-game currency and also building your reputation with the traders. Furthermore, some of these quests have multiple choices to make. For instance, you can decide to kill Basmach and Gus during the Risks of Small Business quest or choose to spare them. You can finish the quest either way.
It is currently unclear if some of these decisions will affect the overall gameplay later on during the event. Regardless, the Escape from Tarkov Arms Race event is now live for players to enjoy.
