The Esports Awards, which recently partnered with the Esports World Cup, has revealed the list of finalists. The voting among 15 categories, including Esports Game of the Year, Streamer of the Year, and Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year, has commenced. After the voting concludes, the main event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, alongside EWC on August 24, 2024.

Since Esports Awards announced a partnership with Esports World Cup, there has been a controversy over this move. However, Michael Ashford, CEO of the Esports Awards, is confident this year will be grand. He said,

"Year on year, I am amazed at the vast and incredible talent present in the esports industry. It’s an absolute honour to gather everyone across all aspects of the industry to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in esports and foster growth for the industry."

He added to the statement with the following:

"With the Esports Awards kicking off in Riyadh earlier this year, amidst a calendar brimming with incredible events, we wanted to make sure we give every achievement the spotlight it deserves. This is why for the first time this year we are hosting not one, but two ceremonies! Stay tuned for more details about the London ceremony later this year, where we'll be shining an even brighter light on the Pro categories."

Esports Awards have been split into two separate events for the first time this year, with one event being held in Riyadh and the other in London. This article will cover everything you need to know about the Esports Awards event in Riyadh.
