The League of Legends tournament in the first Esports World Cup will feature eight teams from LPL, LCK, LEC, and LCS regions.

Esports World Cup 2024 League of Legends tournament schedule
All eight teams will play best-of-three, single-elimination matches from July 4 to 6, with the exception of the Finals, which will be played in a best-of-five format.

Esports World Cup 2024 League of Legends tournament prize pool
The League of Legends tournament features a whopping $1,000,000 prize pool. Meanwhile, Teamfight Tactics, an auto battler strategy game based on League of Legends, offers a $500,000 prize pool to its participants.
Other 5v5 MOBAs on the big stage are Dota 2 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which feature $5,000,000 and $3,000,000 prize pools, respectively.
